Hello
Hi! My name is Jakob Flingelli.
I am a corporate entrepreneur with an architecture degree in my backpocket. I work on eclectic side projects and am passionate about aesthetics, best customer experience and creating environments and products that meaningfully impact people’s lives.
Hi! I’m Jakob. 👋
I’ve spent the last 17 years building things, fixing things, and breaking things (sometimes on purpose).
I’ve co-founded three and a half startups (long story), helped brands move faster, and figured out that most “game-changing” ideas should probably stay in the drafts folder.
But the good ones? Those are worth chasing.
By day, I work in media and digital strategy, helping brands figure out what to build, how to position it, and why anyone should care.
By night, I’m either chasing down a side project that may or may not turn into something real, or disappearing down a rabbit hole of oddly fascinating things. Did you know octopuses have three hearts? Oh, I digress.
I also help companies rethink how they work — culture, structure, decision-making — because a great idea inside a dysfunctional system is like running a marathon in flip-flops.
On the side, I run Late Checkout Merano — a design-forward holiday apartment in Alto Adige. It started as a side project but turned into an experiment in hospitality, guest experience, and what happens when you apply startup thinking to a place people actually want to stay in. Turns out, it works.
What I Do
Help brands make smarter product & marketing decisions (without the usual corporate fluff)
Rethink company culture & ways of working (so people actually enjoy showing up)
Turn side projects into small businesses (some make money, some make good stories)
Run a hospitality experiment disguised as a holiday apartment
Write words that people actually want to read — from brand messaging to From Europe With Love, a weekly newsletter on Europe’s most interesting, well-designed, and occasionally ridiculous products
